Neuro adβ
Neuro adsβ are Text & Image ads created using Yandex Neuro Ads, a cutting-edge neural technology solution. They complement your ads, make them more distinct, and help you reach the target audience who haven't interacted with your offers before. As a result, campaigns with neuro ads get on average 17% more conversions compared to campaigns without them.
How it works
Neuro ads can be generated based on:
- A single site page.
- All pages of a site or its section.
- A list of pages from a file.
The AI can create up to 25 Text & Image ads for a single site page. Once the ads are generated, you'll have the opportunity to review all of them.
For an entire site or a list of pages from a file, the AI can generate more than 25 Text & Image ads. In this case, you'll only be able to view some examples of the generated ads.
You can delete any ads you don't like.
Neuro ad generation may take up to 24 hours.
Note
-
This tool is suitable for promoting offers that don't have to be depicted exactly as they appear on the site and don't include technical specifications that must match the description on the landing page.
-
Neuro ads are created only for pages in Russian.

You can only add one neuro ad to an ad group.
Ads aren't generated for prohibited categories.
An image ad is created only if the Yandex Advertising Network is selected as a placement in the campaign settings.
For some categories, you can't generate high-quality images. In this case, you can leave only promotion with impressions in search results in the campaign settings. Image ads will then be deleted, and the neural technologies will generate text ads to be displayed in search results.
Examples of categories
It isn't always possible to generate high-quality images for such categories as “Outdoor advertising”, “Signs”, or “Creating landing pages”, as well as for complex electrical appliances and heavy machinery.
During generation, images from the site may also be added to your ads if they meet the following requirements:
- Maximum width and height of 450 pixels.
- An aspect ratio between 1:2 (vertical) and 2:1 (horizontal).
- Content that matches the subject of the page and ad.
- No elements related to subjects prohibited from promotion or depictions of people (even partially).
- No watermarks, logos, icons, emojis, or text.
Note
Even if all these conditions are met, an image from the site may not appear in the banner if the Yandex Ads AI algorithm determines it to be less effective than the generated image.
Creating and viewing neuro ads
-
Under Promoted pages, select an information source for the ads:
List of pages from the fileEntire site or its sectionOne page of the websiteThe AI generates ads only for those site pages that you specified. A file like this is easy to create.
The site pages from the file must allow automatic data collection and comply with the Yandex requirements.
Note
You may be unable to generate ads for some pages if:
- The page doesn't meet the requirements.
- The page contains insufficient information about the offer or is dedicated to a product that is technically sophisticated. In this case, the AI can only generate text ads.
File requirements
-
CSV format with UTF-8 encoding.
-
Commas “,” as the separator.
-
The file header must include the full list of columns:
LandingURL,Image. -
Number of rows: from 2 to 10,000.
Name and description of fields
Name
Description
LandingURLLink to the page. Required field.
ImageLinks to images on the site. Up to 5 comma-separated links. Optional field.
Image requirements
The images linked in the file must meet the following requirements:
- When the aspect ratio is between 1 : 1 and 3 : 4 / 4 : 3, each side can range between 450 and 5000 pixels.
- When the aspect ratio is 16 : 9, image size can range between 1080 × 607 and 5000 × 2812 pixels.
- Maximum file size is 10 MB.
- JPG or PNG format.
How to create a CSV file
Populate the file in any spreadsheet editor, like Excel or Numbers. Save the file in CSV format with comma delimiters.
In Excel (Windows)In Numbers (iOS)- In the top menu, select File → Save as.
- Name the file using the File name field.
- Under Save as type, select “CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)”
- Click Save.
- In the top menu, select File → Export to → CSV...
- In the Export Your Spreadsheet window, go to the CSV tab and open the Advanced Options.
- In the Text Encoding field, select “Unicode (UTF-8)”.
- Click Next...
Possible errors when uploading a file
- Invalid encoding: Make sure that your file has UTF-8 encoding.
- File can't be empty: Make sure that your file contains rows with links.
- List can't include more than 10 000 rows: Make sure that your file contains less than 10 000 rows.
- Loose comma: Make sure that all commas and quotes adhere to the CSV schema.
- Enter different values: Make sure that all links in the
LandingURLfield are unique.
Note
The AI generates ads for pages that are logical to promote. For example, pages with contact and bank details aren't used to generate ads.
-
In the Link to promoted page field, specify the URL of the site or section you want to create ads for.
The site or section must:
- Contain more than one page.
- Allow automatic data collection.
- Comply with the Yandex requirements.
-
Use filters to specify which pages of the site or its section you want to promote. List comma-separated keywords that must be present or absent in the page addresses.
Conditions within the same field are combined using the logical OR operator, while conditions in different fields are combined using the logical AND operator.
In the Link to promoted page field, specify the URL of the page you want to create ads for.
The site must allow automatic data collection and comply with the Yandex requirements.
-
If necessary, specify UTM tags and dynamic ad parameters under URL parameters. They will help you track how your ads perform on the selected placement. Tags and parameters will be automatically added to the links within each generated ad.
-
If you need to exclude certain words or phrases from generation, enter them in the Texts section. They won't be used during generation, and any ads containing them will be deleted.

Let's say you're selling uniquely designed bouquets of flowers, fruits, and berries. The landing page contains information about all bouquets, but you want to promote only flowers. In this case, when creating an ad, you should specify “fruits” and “berries” as the words to be excluded. This way, you will generate only the ads you need.
Let's say your site offers ecotourism and outdoor recreation activities, and you don't want hunting and fishing to be mentioned in your advertising and promotional content. In this case, you need to add “hunting” and “fishing” to the list of words to be excluded: texts containing these words won't be generated, and the previously created ads will stop generating impressions and will be deleted.
-
Double check the company's contact information.
-
Save the draft neuro ad.
Examples of generated ads appear under Sample ads within 24 hours. You can't edit them, but you can adjust texts using negative‑keywords. This won't lead to ad re-generating and will only filter out the variations you don't like.
If you don't like the ad (for example, the text doesn't fit the image or you don't like the image), you can delete it by clicking X in the upper-right corner.
Once the ad is generated, you'll receive an email with a link to the neuro ad. You can also find out the status yourself. To do this, in Statistics at the ad level, select the filter Type → Neuro ad:
- The “Impressions in progress” status means that the generation is complete and ad impressions are in progress. For example, if you launched ads immediately after creating them and not saved them as drafts.
- The “Draft processed” status means that the generation is complete and you can go to the ad, view the generated variations, delete the ones you don't like, and launch the ads manually.
- The “Processing draft” status means that generation is still in progress.
Impressions start only for those ads that match the site category and comply with the requirements.
Tip
To understand how well neuro ads generated based on a site or a list of pages from a file would perform on the pages you're looking to promote, use the Ad ID and Link dimensions in the Report Wizard.
Create ads for the pages with the best metric values by applying filters or updating the list of pages in the file.

Questions and answers
Can I view a neuro ad before launching it?
Yes. To do this, save your neuro ad as a draft when creating it.
If you create a neuro ad for a single site page, you can preview all the generated options. However, for ads created based on the entire site, its section, or a list of pages from a file, only a limited number of samples is available.
You can delete any variations you don't like before launching the ads.
How many ads will there be?
A single neuro ad will typically have between 3 and 25 ads if created from a single site page, and more than 25 ads if created for the entire site, its section, or a list of pages from a file.
The exact number depends on how many offers there are on the pages and for how many of them the AI was able to generate relevant ads.
Can I edit ads?
You can't edit created ads, but you can exclude words and phrases from generation under Texts.
Can I delete ads I don't like?
Yes. Once generation is complete, click X on the ad under Sample ads and confirm your action. The ad will be permanently deleted.
Where are neuro ads served?
They are served in the placements (except Telegram channels) you specified in the campaign settings. An image ad can be created only if the Yandex Advertising Network is selected as a placement.
I can't seem to generate ads. What could be the problem?
- The site category is included in the list of prohibited categories.
- The campaign is in "Stopped" status. To start generating ads, launch the current campaign or create a new one.
- The promoted page is down. Make sure the page is available. Once it's back online, contact us, and we’ll restart ad generation.
- Your site's content isn't available for data collection. Perhaps your site requires authorization or loads data only when a user interacts with it.
- The site's content was retrieved, but there isn't enough text information on the page to figure out your offer (for example, previews of Telegram channels). Specify a site page that contains more information or add information to the current page.
How do negative keywords work ?
Under Texts, you can enter words or phrases separated by commas.
If you add a negative keyword, ads that contain all of its forms (words of the same part of speech but differing in gender, form, or case) will be filtered out.
For example, if you specify the adjective "cheap" as a negative keyword, ads that contain the adjectives "cheaper" or "cheapest" are filtered out.
If you specify a negative keyword, ads that contain any of its forms in any order will be filtered out. Words shouldn't be separated by punctuation marks “;”, “.”, “!”, or “?”.
For example, if you specify the phrase “Buy indoor plants” as a negative keyword, ads with the text “Buy indoor plants online” will be filtered out, and ads with the text “Indoor plants. Buy online” (there is a “
.” punctuation mark) or “Indoor plants online” (“buy” is missing) will remain.
Under Texts, the operators !, +, [], and "" aren't applied. A keyword with symbols +, [], and "" won't be saved.
Symbols “;”, “.”, “!”, and “?” are used as separators.
For example, if you enter “buy! indoor plants”, two negative keywords will be saved: “buy” and “indoor plants”.
