Industry average metrics
Industry average metrics is a report in Yandex Metrica that shows how your site's metrics compare to the average values for your industry. It helps you understand how well your site performs against other companies in the selected industry, and gives you industry benchmarks to rely on when making decisions.
How it works
Yandex Metrica automatically determines your site's industry, type, size, and country, and groups similar sites into industry clusters. For each cluster, average metrics are calculated: the median and percentiles.
The graph shows three lines at the same time: your site, your closest competitors (if available), and the industry as a whole. The data is anonymized and aggregated, and it's updated once a week.

How it's different from the “Market averages” dashboard
The “Market averages” dashboard compares your performance with that of your closest competitors — sites with a similar audience — while the “Industry average metrics” report shows average data across the entire industry. These two data sets complement each other and are presented together in the “Industry average metrics” report.
